Albert Schweitzer Bridge Alphen aan den Rijn - Hollandia

Albert Schweitzer Bridge Alphen aan den Rijn

The Albert Schweitzer Bridge is a double bascule bridge with two adjoining halyards with one common basement and each with its own drive: the load class is 60. The bridge was completed in 1964 and in 1975 the original timber covered halyards were replaced by halyards with orthotropic steel driving decks.

The contractor combination Hollandia Services BV, Cofely BV, K.Dekker BV was commissioned by the Province of South Holland to carry out the electrical and hydraulic activities for this bridge successfully.

This involved the manufacture, supply, assembly and commissioning of the entire electrical and hydraulic installation and the replacement of the steel of conforming parcels 2 and 3.
