Bridges and locks in Flevoland province

Over the coming five years, the contractor combination of Croonwolter&dros and Hollandia will, commissioned by the Flevoland provincial authority, perform major maintenance work on 13 moveable bridges and 11 locks across Flevoland province. A key part of this maintenance work is to optimise and renew remote operation. The combination has since 1 October 2018 also been responsible for daily maintenance on these structures. The first visible work in the field is meanwhile under way. Preparations for the renovation of the Urker Lock (Urkersluis) in March 2020 have meanwhile started, while replacement of guard walls near Elburger Bridge (Elburgerbrug) and Marknesser Lock (Marknessersluis) is in full flow. Preparations for other upcoming renovations are currently also in their start-up phase. Work on these projects is scheduled to start from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
