First parts of new Suurhoff bridge transported

At Hollandia, the first parts of the new Suurhoff bridge have been transported from the production location to the pre-construction location a little further along the Nieuwe Maas. On this finishing quay, all bridge sections will soon be erected into a complete 200-meter arch bridge, which will be transported in one piece to its location across the Hartel Canal. That promises to be a unique water transport. But more on that later. For this project, Hollandia Infra is part of the STIPT contractor consortium consisting of Dura Vermeer, Besix, Mobilis, and Hollandia Infra, which is realizing the ‘Temporary Connection Suurhoff Bridge in the A15 near Oostvoorne’ on behalf of Rijkswaterstaat. Our colleagues made this nice timelaps video.
