Successful load-out for swing bridge Clyde Crossing - Hollandia

Successful load-out for swing bridge Clyde Crossing

Last week we completed an impressive load-out for project Clyde Crossing. Due to its length and impressive weight of 1600 tons, this lifting operation required the use of no less than 3 floating cranes. Using SPMTs, the bridge was brought into load-out position along the quay where then the 3 Matadors took over the weight and maneuvered the bridge to the pontoon with extreme precision. The entire operation went very smoothly.

With the final work on the pontoon completed, the bridge is ready for her journey to Scotland.

Thanks to the great teamwork of Sarens, Bonn & Mees, HEBO and our Hollandia colleagues. Also thanks to Zwijnenburg Shipyard.
