In recent months, the Hollandia Services yard has worked hard on the remediation of chrome6 on the outside of the pointed gates of the Eefde front lock. After completion of the remediation, these lock gates were given a new blasting system. The doors have also been fitted with a new landing with railings, new drives and the seals have been replaced. The flawless doors were again transported over water to Eefde where we started hanging the doors back on Wednesday 21 October! Hollandia Services is carrying out this maintenance on the monumental Zuidersluis Eefde on behalf of Lock2Twente for end-user Rijkswaterstaat.
