It’s time! The contract between Hollandia Infra and construction consurtium VeenIX for the Schiphol Bridge in the A9 has been signed! On behalf of Rijkswaterstaat, the VeenIX construction consortium will extend the highway A9 over 10.5 km (between the Holendrecht junction and the Badhoevedorp junction). It contains 2 bascule bridges (Schiphol bridge) that must be replaced by 2 new wider bascule bridges. Hollandia is responsible for the implementation design, fabrication and installation of the 2 new bascule bridges and the new drives. Hollandia will also remove the old bridges and build and assemble a temporary bridge. Hollandia Infra has been involved in this great project for a year now. For example, input has already been provided to the VO and the DO and various coordination has taken place about the assembly sequence on the construction site for the removal of the old bridges and the installation of the new bridges.
