The three barrages at Amerongen, Hagestein and Driel are currently being renovated by Rijkswaterstaat. The well-known arch-shaped steel retaining walls are also being partially replaced. In order to be able to take over the water retaining function during this work, colleague steel company BSB Staalbouw asked Hollandia Infra to produce some temporary barriers.
It concerns two quarter-round constructions of about 40 metres long and 8 metres high with a weight of 150 tons of steel each.
In the meantime, the temporary barrier has been put into operation at its first location.
