Special moment: The new temporary Suurhoff Bridge (A15) is now complete by lifting in of the 80-meter long central arch. A fine example of craftsmanship, because even with a bridge of this size it ultimately takes to millimeter work. Thanks to the accurate calculations and the excellent performance of the entire team, the lifting operation went very smoothly. The bridge is made up of 8 parts and has a total length of 200 meters and a height of 40 meters.
The completion phase is now starting, after which the entire bridge will be transported during spring 2021. From Hollandia in Krimpen aan den IJssel to the Maasvlakte, the bridge will travel about 40 km over water, passing 7 bridges. That promises to be a spectacular trip!
Hollandia Infra is realizing the new temporary Suurhoff bridge over the A15 near Oostvoorne from the contractor consortium STIPT, together with Dura Vermeer, Besix and Mobilis TBI on behalf of Rijkswaterstaat.
