Helideck for Cologne hospital under construction

On 27 April 2020, we started work on the installation of the steel support structure for a helicopter deck on the roof of Cologne’s Herzzentrum hospital. Hollandia Structures was commissioned by Bayards Aluminium Constructions to build the steel frames, the largest of which has a diameter of 30 metres. A Hollandia Industrial team is currently in the process of installing the frames on site, after having built the required scaffolding. Due to the limited capacity of the crane, some parts are welded together in situ. The first phase is scheduled to be wrapped up in mid-June.
